Every Thursday I share something that I'm thankful for. Often I'm thankful for my family, how could I not be?
Sometimes writing about thankfulness is easy, sometimes more difficult.
Today I am choosing to be thankful
Despite a little man waking up last night at 3am and not falling back asleep until after 6am
(my alarm goes off at 7)
Despite my cold and sore throat which feels worse because of the lack of sleep
Despite the yucky snow, slippery roads and terrible weather
Despite the fact my house is a mess
There are all sorts of little things I could focus on which would cause me to look around and say
"poor me"
But then again, there are all sorts of things I can focus on which cause me to look around and say
"Wow, I'm blessed!"
My hubby watching three episodes of House Hunters with me last night
(I'm sure there was some other sport's channel he would have rather been watching!)
Coffee (do I really need to say more?)
Warm home
Getting into a warm car this morning to go to work because Claudio started it for me!
The ladies retreat coming up this weekend at our church
There is so much good in my life!
So, what about you?
What are you thankful for today?

ReplyDeleteVisiting from Embrace the Camera. Today I am grateful for a husband who distracted the toddler from waking me and the baby up too early, and an easy-going baby who sleeps extremely well for a newborn!
ReplyDeleteThat's what I love about having a grateful heart, that despite the circumstances of our lives there is always, always, always something to be thankful for. Hope you are feeling better soon sweet girl.
ReplyDeleteStopping over from Te Fontenot Four. What a great attitude. Sounds like you do have so much to be thankful for. Especially the House Hunters viewing. :)

ReplyDeleteIt is SO easy to slip into the "poor me" mindset some days, isn't it? Some weeks, knowing that Thursday is coming and I get to write my post is the one thing that snaps me out of it and makes me stop to the ink about the amazing things God has blessed me with...and the amazing people. Thank you for stopping by my blog today!
ReplyDeleteI do fall into the "poor me" mindset often. This is why I want to do this post every Thursday. To remind myself of everything I have to be grateful for!
